Automotive Controller / Office ManagerRyan Ford – 3796 I-10 Frontage Road, Sealy, TX 77474Full-Time | $85,000 – $120,000 per year About the RoleRyan Ford is seeking an experienced Controller / Office Manager to oversee financial operations and office administration at our dealership. This role is responsible for accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and ensuring efficient office processes. It’s an opportunity to make a direct impact in a growing dealership environment. Key Responsibilities Financial Management * Prepare monthly financial statements in line with dealership and manufacturer standards * Ensure accuracy of manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, and co-op advertising * Interpret financial statements and daily operating controls (DOC) to track performance trends * Develop short- and long-term financial forecasts * Manage cash flow, recommend strategies for excess cash, and oversee asset depreciation rates * Review general ledger, reconcile accounts, and investigate unusual entries * Ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts, reserve accounts, factory payables, and floorplan payables Compliance & Risk Management * Stay current on tax code changes and recommend operational adjustments * Oversee compliance with finance regulations including taxes, payroll deposits, and retirement plans * Manage property and liability insurance policies, renewals, and claims * Coordinate audits, physical inventories, and loss reserves Office Operations * Supervise office staff and maintain proper accounting procedures * Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, inventory adjustments, and financial recordkeeping * Manage dealership computer systems for optimal use * Maintain organized filing systems for financial and administrative records Collaboration & Communication * Provide department managers with financial and management reports * Partner with all departments to improve processes and data integrity * Communicate effectively with vendors, service providers, and customers Qualifications * 5+ years of proven experience as an Automotive Controller or Office Manager * Strong knowledge of accounting principles including general ledger management, reconciliation, and forecasting * Familiarity with dealership accounting systems * Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills * Ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments * Relevant certifications or automotive industry experience preferred Benefits * Health, dental, vision, and life insurance * Paid time off and sick leave * Employee discounts About UsRyan Ford has built a reputation for providing quality vehicles and dependable service to the Sealy community.
