We are hiring a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in Omaha, NE.

* Employment Status: Part-Time
* Compensation: This is a hourly position, paid bi-weekly.
* Schedule: 2 days a week, Monday & Tuesday 8:00am-4:00pm, (NOTE: Job role has the opportunity to travel between other MDE sites in Nebraska) .

Requirements: The Clinical Psychologist must have and meet the following:

* Male only required for this job role. "When a patient is seen by a Clinical Psychologist, Omaha, NE facility provides the patient with the option for either a male or female Clinical Psychologist, according to what will make the patient most comfortable during a sensitive examination or procedure. Omaha, NE facility therefore must provide patients with access to both male and female to facilitate patient choice. This posting is specifically for a Male Clinical Psychologist, which will allow the Omaha, NE facility to fulfill its male behavioral health staffing needs.
* Must be a psychologist or psychiatrist licensed in at least one state in the United States.
* Psychiatrists or Neurologists must be board certified or must have completed a 2-year residency with either specialty
* Psychologists must obtain a PhD or PsyD with a Major in Psychology; Specialty studies must focus on the adult population such as Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (or a combination of these). Child-focused psychology programs are not acceptable.
* Psychologists must have graduated from a doctorate or post-doctorate APA-accredited program.
* Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
* Demonstrates compassion and professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service and care.
* Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using EMR and platforms.
* Skilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-making.
* Works independently and can manage time in order to provide a quality service while meeting set deadlines.
* Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience in clinical settings
* Prior VA or C&P experience

Job Summary:

* Review pertinent mental health history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment behavioral health compensation and pensions exams for Veterans.
* The Clinical Psychologist will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
* Common reasons for assessment are PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
