Job Summary:

Shar Music is a company that has been serving the string music community throughout North America for 60 years. They are seeking a dynamic Product & Innovation Assistant to support product development and innovation, conduct market research, and enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market and competitor research to identify product trends, customer needs, and innovation opportunities

• Support the development of new products and enhancements from ideation through launch

• Track and analyze product performance using sales data and customer feedback

• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting open communication and teamwork.

• Conducting thorough market research, which may include taking surveys, doing desktop research, sending emails, making calls, and even attending product launches of rival companies.

• Analyzing sales, product performance, and market data to identify opportunities for product improvements or new offerings.

• Assisting in the designing, testing, and implementation of new products and features.

• Coordinating cross-departmentally to align product line initiatives.

• Implementing new products by coordinating processes, resources, and timelines to ensure success through the entire project.

• Coordinating the setup prior to any sales promotion or event to support company sales.

• Generating ideas and solutions to address customer pain points and enhance product offerings.

• Answering all product-related questions in a polite manner and addressing queries promptly.

• Preparing presentations, reports, and documentation to communicate project status and outcomes.

• Staying updated on emerging technologies and trends to recommend cutting-edge solutions.

• Ensuring product specifications, marketing materials, and project plans are accurate and aligned with objectives.

• Defining and articulating the product vision, roadmap, and strategy based on market insights and company objectives.

• Assist in managing product timelines, documentation, and internal communication

• Partner with departments across the organization to align on product strategy and execution

• Help coordinate product setup for launches, promotions, and events

• Prepare presentations and reports to communicate product insights, updates, and performance

• Ensure product information and marketing content are accurate and up to date

• Answer product-related questions and ensure customer feedback is gathered and shared

• Participate in brainstorming and problem-solving sessions to drive innovation

• Think creatively and critically to help improve the customer experience and product value.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects with excellent attention to detail

• A curious mindset with adaptability and willingness to learn

• Basic understanding of product development or eagerness to develop this knowledge

• Familiarity with string instruments or interest in the music industry

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required

Preferred:

• associate degree in Business, Marketing, or a music-related field

• knowledge of Shopify, NetSuite, or similar platforms

• some experience with Shopify or NetSuite
